About your teacher:

Linas Phillips is a director, actor, teacher and spiritual seeker.  In 2006 he felt compelled to walk 1200 miles to meet Werner Herzog, documented in his first film WALKING TO WERNER. While living in Seattle, Linas made a doc, GREAT SPEECHES, about 9 of the city’s homeless, in which he had them recite famous speeches from history. His film BASS ACKWARDS, a road movie about a man recovering from a break up, premiered at Sundance in 2010. His latest film, RAINBOW TIME, produced by the Duplass Brothers, can be seen on Netflix.  As an actor Linas has appeared in TWIN PEAKS, EASTBOUND and DOWN, TOGETHERNESS and MANSON FAMILY VACATION. Recently, he’s been developing a method of teaching screenwriting, as the SCREENPLAY DOULA, applying what he has learned from spiritual teachers on how to become aware of your negative beliefs and applying that to character and story structure.
