Apply for the UP(st)ART $500 Arts Grant! 

UP(st)ART has always been committed to supporting and uplifting the artists in our residences. Through this Arts Grant, we aim to elevate the voices, stories and values of those in marginalized spaces, by providing a platform for success and encouraging the support of the wider UP(st)ART community. We encourage members to apply with a project that involves, tells the story of, or highlights voices that are often excluded from mainstream media, ie. LGBTQ+, black, indigenous & people of color, differently abled, etc. Complete all the required details in THIS ONLINE FORM to be considered for the UP(st)ART Arts Grant, of up to $500 to complete your creative project.

Submission deadline: Saturday, September 5th, by 11:59pm PDT.

RULES:

• Only one application per member.
• Applicant must be a current resident of UP(st)ART.
• Project must include at least 4 other current UP(st)ART residents, totaling 5 team members or more.
• Applicant and majority of team must reside at UP(st)ART for the duration of production of their project.
• Funding is for the purchase/hire of items needed to complete the project, and will be paid directly from UP(st)ART to your vendors. Funds will not be given out to individual project members, to ensure funds are fairly distributed towards the project.
• A complete list of budgeted items and vendors are required at the time of application.
• Funding cannot be used to pay UP(st)ART members, it is for required items and equipment only.
• Chosen applicant agrees to provide UP(st)ART with behind the scenes media - at least 10 videos and 30 photos of the project taking place, to be used at UP(st)ART’s discretion for website, advertising and social media.
• Project must be completed and ready for release by no later than December 5th 2020.
